Feeling Scrappy Challenge

The challenge was to create a layout that had something to do with ice or winter. The silver/grey square has journaling written is white so it makes it hard to see in this photo but it says: Cold days and icicles have you dreaming of spring.

Owen William

I got this wonderful photo of my grandma on her 80th birthday with Owen. Owen's middle name is after my grandfather who is no longer with us. I wanted to scrap a picture that captured both his great grandma and his namesake. The journaling is hidden and slides out. It reads...
-William- You get your middle name from your Great Papa Bill. You may not have met him but I'm so glad you able to share such great moments with Nana Ethel.

Custom Made Notepads

I thought I would make a little notepad to give as a little something extra with a Birthday card for a family member. I used up some scrap grey paper and cut it to 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. I then clamped all the pages together with some binder clips and applied the note pad glue ( also called padding compound) to one edge. Once it was dry I embellised the front with more scraps.

Back to Scrappin'

After a long month of no scrappin' I'm itching to get going again. With no designated area to call my crafting area I've taken over a closet in the living room, which means when I want to do some scrapbooking I have to pull everything out on the coffee table in the living room and then put it away when I'm done so two small boys don't get a hold of it. This year the Christmas tree was blocking my craft closet so no scrapping got done.

Christmas has been cleaned up and I pulled out some scrapbooking gifts and finished a layout this morning.
